Green Bay Packers Now Aaron Rodgers Team

The Green Bay Packers use to be Brett Favre's team for the longest time, but now Aaron Rodgers has put his own stamp on the Green Bay Packers. No longer does he have to stand in Favre's shadow as he is carving his own niche. After destroying the Atlanta Falcons Rodgers is just one game away from his first Super Bowl appearance.

Rodgers has all the tools any quarterback needs in this league. He has good speed and great arm strength. He knows what he can and cannot do. He makes sure he spreads the ball around to keep everyone happy. The one thing that can be said about Aaron Rodgers he has earned everything he has gotten. Now many people consider him the best in the NFC and getting close to the best in the whole NFL.

Brett Favre Files Retirement Papers

Today Brett Favre filed his retirement papers, but is this really the end for Favre. How many times has Favre disappointed us by reappearing and playing again. I think this is for real though and we will not see him back anytime some. Favre took a beating his last year in Minnesota and his body cannot take another NFL season, and it is best to retire right now while he can still walk and talk.

Favre will go down as one of the best quarterbacks of all-time. His consecutive string of starts will be a record that will last for a long time. Peyton Manning may catch it, but I do not know. Either way you cannot doubt what Brett Favre has brought to the game during the years he played. When he was in his prime you would be hard pressed to fine a better quarterback. he made plays that would make you just shake your head.

College Basketball Poll January 17, 2011

With their loss Duk dropped down to number four, but still got one first place vote. Ohio state took over first place with Kansas and Syracuse following. In the coming weeks it will be interesting to see how much longer it is before other teams fall just like Duke did.
